Stephanie Hemenway is a gulf war veteran turned autism mom. She operates from Locust Grove, an 18th century farm in rural Virgina, which she and her husband John, share with their son Andrew, Aunt Jane Hardy, a Gordon Setter, a couple of Havana Silk Dogs, a handful of barn cats, a flock of chickens, a scottish highland cow, a pair of clydesdales, two elderly hacks and four meddlesome geese.
Her days are devoted to her family, tending the furry and feathered masses, creating GF/CF recipes and battling the neverending onslaught of weeds in her organic gardens.
