Books

A Message from the Author:

You may notice that The Autism Mom Cooks Gluten-Free Casein-Free cookbooks are slightly more expensive than other cookbooks of the genre.  Though I do not set the list price I am required to make two rather crucial decisions that will impact the final sales price.

The first decision was color.  It is far less expensive (and time consuming) to produce a black and white "text only" cookbook.  As a person who invests in a great number of cookbooks, both GF/CF and mainstream, I couldn't help but notice that cookbooks without any photos often seem rather daunting.  In addition, there is the question of accountability - it is far easier to publish an unappetizing recipe if no one is going to see the final product before they make it. When it comes to GF/CF cooking, I believe a photo is truly worth a thousand words.

The second decision was where the book was to be printed.  While we are all struggling in this difficult economy, I felt it would be counter productive on a broader scale to have the book printed overseas.  Though often significantly less expensive to have the final printing of a book done in overseas plants, I was not willing to pay the real price for that decision.  That being said, you will note that all of my books are published and printed right here in the United States - North Carolina to be exact.

Warmest Regards,
